We tried to go out for breakfast - big mistake - way too crowded - went without.
Did some grocery shopping and not much else.

Bought some batteries and added another camera to dad's security system.

Went out to breakfast with friends, then did some shopping for our trip tomorrow.

Started the day with sunrise in Palmdale, CA and finished it with sunset in Mammoth Lakes, CA
Lots of water today - California Aqueduct, a waterfall, and several lakes.
Day 7 • A scenic tour

Sunrise at Mono Lake, a drive into Nevada and back, and ending in Yosemite NP
Basically a large (if ill-shaped) circle, starting in Lee Vining, CA, and then ending there.

Had a great time at my sister Carol's house with her and her husband Dan.
We had tacos for dinner and celebrated my dad's 91st birthday!

Day drive along the Kern River
Started the day with sunrise in the Antelope Valley.
Drove to Lake Isabella, then followed the Kern River as far north as paved roads would take us.

Dad had a doctor appointment today and we ran a few errands.
