Stop 1 • Sunrise at Dad's house before we left
→ Noticed some sunlight out the front kitchen window, so looked out the back window.
Stepped into the back yard with camera in hand.
Stop 2 • Sunset Point
A vista point on Encinal Drive coming down toward PCH-1.
Stop 3 • Sycamore Cove Beach
One of my family's favorite beaches. The tide was higher than I've seen it before.
I got a little wet while I was shooting!
Stop 4 • Santa Clara River Bridge
Took a path north a little closer to the ocean than the GPS originally wanted me to go.
Crossed this bridge over the Santa Clara River almost where it flows into the Pacific Ocean.
Stop 5 • Ventura Beach
Stopped here by the pier to try to get some pics of the Channel Islands that were a little more crisp.
Stop 6 • Gaviota Beach
One of my long-time goals is to video a train going over the trestle bridge spanning the beach.
Today I saw that train... 3 minutes AFTER I had put my camera away!
Then we drove home.
