◄ 2025/11/26 & 12/04 • Steve takes a tumble!
► Working in my yard, cutting up some tree branches.  Went to pull a loose branch out of a tree and lost my balance.  I tried to catch myself on the trunk of the tree, but as I was reaching for it, at a really bad angle, I both heard and felt a loud pop as I was falling.  Laying on my back, everything works OK except I can't straighten my right leg.  No blood, but it looks like I had maybe broken or dislocated something at my right knee.  It didn't even really hurt, except when trying to straighten my leg.  I'm way down the hill from the house, and didn't think even if I could get up that I would be able to hobble that far so we called 911!  It took 6 guys to carry me to the ambulance parked at the neighbors property, since it was level with where I was, and it was still awkward because of all the undergrowth.  No broken bones, and no dislocation, but I have to go next week for an MRI because there may be issues with tendons and/or ligaments!  Oh what fun!!!  😟
► Also, the timing isn't great.  We had plane ticket to fly to California on Tuesday for a 6 day visit with my dad.  Had to cancel that and won't be able to reschedule until I know how bad the recovery is going to be.  Hopefully I won't need surgery.
