         California Trip  for         

   Patti’s Memorial Service   

​July 10th through 16th

The main purpose of this trip was to participate in the memorial service for my youngest sister, Patti Schott.  She died from cancer on June 5th, 2012.  One week after my last visit with her.  I had been going out every other month since November to spend time with her and the rest of my family in anticipation of this milestone in our family’s life.  We knew it was coming, dreading it, but not without hope as we knew that she fully trusted in Jesus Christ as her Savior and Lord.

Biking

17 miles round-trip from

Skiatook to Sperry and back.

We rode on the Osage Trail, which is a former rail line but now is a biking/hiking trail.  

Very nice and very easy, and very beautiful.  

We started in Skiatook and rode south to Sperry, then went to 76th street.  8-1/2 miles.  17 miles round trip.  

It was fun, but the last 3 miles were pretty hard.  At least for me.

​November 24th to 26th

Just went out to spend time with the family.  First holiday since we lost Patti.  Didn’t do much the first three days.  Some work projects around the folks house.
