The trip back to LA was earlier than planned because of Hurricane Hillary

Due to Hurricane Hillary, we left Mammoth Lakes a day early. We encountered increasing rain and flooding the farther south we drove.
Lots of wrecks along the way. Good thing we did, as the only road back to LA (US-395) was closed the next day most of the way.
