An accident on I-5 stopped traffic completely for 35 minutes

I shot a video of some trains passing by while I was waiting to move.

5th stop • Mt. St. Helens

Made it to the mountain, but had to change plans twice once there.

The vista point Google Maps told me I could drive to was actually 4 miles past the locked gate.

Picked a secondary vista point, and was hustled off by the Forest Ranger

as they were preparing to close that location.

Picked a third vista point, but this one required a 30 minute hike, which added an hour to my day.

   Day 9

   Sunday • 7/05/2026

Spent the day at the house recovering from all of our activities yesterday!

No pics today.

   Flight from Washington to Oklahoma

   Monday • 7/06/2026

We arrived safely at home!

► I missed a great opportunity to shoot Mt. Hood from the airplane.  We took off to the west, and then turned south for what felt like a long time, so I assumed we'd be too far from Mt. Hood.  Started watching a movie on my cell phone, and at one point I looked up just quickly enough to see the mountain, but not to get any photos of it before it was too far behind us!

► Fortunately for me, we arrived in Tulsa exactly at sunset and I was able to shoot a few pics of it.  Although, there are a lot of reflections from inside the terminal, as that was my only opportunity to do so.
