All sorts of trains
8/27/2026

   Info about the day

After a men's Bible Study at IHOP in Broken Arrow, OK,

I decided to head into Tulsa to get some train pics.

I hit the jackpot!  Spent some time at the BNSF Train Yard

and got stuff from several locations...

   W 31st Street

Near the south end of the train yard.

Flew my drone here to get some views of the entire yard.

Video from the drone

   W 17th Street

At the north end of the train yard.

Waited for a little while for this massive (???) train to go by.

Video of the train

   S Union Avenue

On the west side of the train yard.

Stopped at a RR crossing that already had a very slow mover on the tracks heading west.

Next thing I know, a fast moving eastbound came along.  I shot that one, but through the windshield of the truck.  Sorry about the bug splatter.

In some of the video you can see both trains moving.

But at some point, the first train stopped completely, forcing me to go back to W 17th.

   W 17th Street (again)

On the west side of the train yard.

Stopped for this "train" of geese!

   W 17th Street (again x2)

On the north side of the train yard.

Just as I was coming up to the crossing, yet another train passed by.

I held the camera outside the cab of the truck.

Video of the train

   UP Train crossing over OK-88

Between Claremore, OK and Oologah, OK.

Stopped at a place near my home in Claremore to get a quote on some new tires for my truck,

and as I was leaving a UP train was crossing Hwy 66.

I drove north of town to get in front of the train, and filmed it while it was crossing OK-88 on the bridge.
