May Road Trip
5/22 • Day 7 • Cedar City, UT to Monticello, UT
Part 1
Capitol Reef National Park
1st leg of the 7th day of a 17 day road trip.
• We stopped first at Capitol Reef National Park, with the express purpose of heading south on the Scenic Road,
only to get there and find out it is closed for 2024 for road repairs. AARRGHHH!!!
• Did the best we could with the rest of the park. Saw Goosenecks Overlook for the first time and it was scary.
I got right up to the edge (well almost - close enough to scare the poop out of me)
and took a group of photos looking down into the bottom of the canyon.

Part 2
Notom Road
2nd leg of the 7th day of a 17 day road trip.
• After Capitol Reef National Park, just to the east of the park, dad and I drove for several miles south on
Notom Road. This road, if you follow it south to it's end, will take you to Bullfrog Marina on Lake Powell.
• It was pretty windy and I had stopped on the dirt road to take some pics from the ground.
A couple from Wisconsin stopped to visit, and after some comments they made,
I decided to try to fly my drone, regardless of the wind. It worked!!
• Just a disclaimer, for anyone who might be concerned, none of these pics, especially the drone ones,
were taken inside the national park.
