California Trip - 6/24 to 7/3
June 26th - Phil Toma and I went to the races in Bakersfield, CA at the Kern County Racing Park.
One 8 lap race, four 10 lap races, two 50 lap races, an AWESOME fireworks show,
and a 75 lap race (we only stayed for 25).
Oh, and it was pushing 100 degrees the entire time!

June 27th - Breakfast at Black Bear Diner in Lenwood, CA,
a quick stop at Dehy Park in Independence, CA,
a hike at Big Pine Creek in the mountains above Big Pine, CA,
and viewing stars near Crowley Lake.

June 28th - Drove through Yosemite today - east to west.
3.25 mile hike on the Pacific Crest Trail
north of the highway at Tuolumne Meadows.

With a side trip toward Mineral King at the southern end.
