2019/05/30 • Kern River   
Picked up Phil Toma (shown below) at his home in Lancaster, CA.  Made a turn at Rosamond that took us through a wind farm, and over the hill, toward the Tehachapi Loop, a famous section of railroad.  Then we took some back roads through the mountains that put us out at Lake Isabella.  The lake is fed by the Kern River, which we followed north to the Johnsondale Bridge (also shown below).  From there we headed up and east on Sherman Pass Road to Kennedy Meadows.  From there we headed east to Pearsonville, and then south to drop Phil off at his home, and then the extra hour for us to get to ours.
