2019 May-June Road Trip • OK to CA
5/24/2019 • Sunset at Big Bend National Park
We were actually on the nature trail at the Rio Grande Village Campround allong the Rio Grande. In that area, the river is making sweeping turns south, then north, then back again. In the pic below, I'm standing in the USA, with Mexico on the near left of the river, USA behind the river, and the large range in the back with the sun going down behind it is in Mexico. The river was shallow and I could have easilly waded across and back with little to no effort.

The trip to the park
We left Claremore, OK very early in the morning.
We stopped for breakfast at Black Bear Diner in Edmond, OK,
and later stopped for lunch at McDonalds in Sweetwater, TX.
Didn't really notice any significant mountains until we were way south of I-10 on the last part of our trip.

800 miles
----------
After taking all my photos, I had to drive another hour
in the dark to get to our hotel.
----------
Long day!!!
