Day Eight
Down the hill, and back to Los Angeles
Hiked all the way down to the place where our car was parked.
Back downhill to Convict Lake

→ Total of about 6 miles to the trailhead.
→ We drove up to Mammoth Lakes, got a hotel room for 4 hours.
→ The deal was that each person had one hour in the bathroom, and 3 hours to sleep.
→ Then we drove all the way back to LA.

Dehy Park

→ On our way back to LA we stopped at Dehy Park, in Independence, CA for a brief visit.
→ We took a few pics of and from the bridge, which is no longer there, replaced by a newer one.
→ Unfortunately, the newer is so high that you can't dip your toes in the creek from the bridge.
→ This is my favorite pic of me and Patti.
→ She passed in 2012, but every time that I'm traveling in this area (which is pretty often actually), I stop at this park and spend a few moments remembering my sister.
