Up to Bright Dot Lake

We hiked 4.5 miles round-trip to Bright Dot Lake.

10,600ft.  It was my first trip to this lake.

→ The irony of the accomplishment of hiking all the way up here is that when we got to this point, I could clearly see the gap at the far end of the lake, that drains into the canyon we hiked up to get here.

→ I decided that before I started fishing, I'd go over that gap and look down into the canyon.

Once there, I realized that I'd have to actually go over the next little rise, and then the next, and then the next, and so forth.

→ So I started heading back to this lake, but by the time I got here, it was fully in shadow, leaving limited time to get back to camp before dark.

→ So we headed back, and I never fished it.
