3 totally unique things to look at today

From Ventura, CA to Maricopa, CA

   Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Reserve

1st stop of the day was at this wildlife reserve

► I've been here before when there were birds on the water everywhere, but there weren't too many today.
► I did see some, but also a turtle, a squirrel, a rabbit, and a lizard!

   Watching planes at LAX

Drove on a back road I've driven past a dozen times

► Found this location on the south side of the airport that provides a pretty good vista point for watching aircraft.
► Besides the stills, I have provided one video of landing, one of taxiing, and one of multiple take offs.

   Latigo Canyon Road

Over the hill we go!

► After leaving LAX I wanted to have a little "beach" time, seeing as how it would probably be my last

chance before heading back to Oklahoma.
► Drove on PCH-1 towards Malibu, and the traffic was so backed up in the Pacific Palisades and Malibu areas

where they had those terrible fires, that it took me over an hour to go 10 miles.
► I didn't take any pics during that stretch, not that I even could if I wanted to because of the

stop and go traffic - it just didn't feel right for me to document their pain and anguish.

Just let me tell you, that even at this time, the devastation is overwhelming.
► When I finally got past that part, I selected Latigo Canyon Road to begin my trek back towards the

San Fernando Valley.  I had never driven on it before and it didn't disappoint.

Every time I thought I was near the top, it went even higher.

You might notice in some of the pics that you can see some of the Channel Islands in the distance.

They are a little hazy as the island of Santa Rosa is having a major fire at this time.
