4th Stop • South Rim of the Grand Canyon

► An east to west drive through the south rim of the Grand Canyon.
Actually 4 stops at vista points within the park.  All on the south rim.  
→ viewpoint 1 • Desert View Watchtower
→ viewpoint 2 • Navajo Point                     
→ viewpoint 3 • Lipan Point                       
→ viewpoint 4 • Elk along the road          
► The pics here show a lot of storm clouds.  When we were at Mexican Hat, there were some clouds in the distance, but nothing threatening us there.  BUT, as we drove west toward Tuba City we encountered so much wind and rain that I began to wonder if it was still safe to go forward.  As we approached Tuba City the rain let up, but by the time we were near the west end of the town we drove into a raging sand storm!  Bad weather all the way, then more rain on the highway up to the Grand Canyon.
