May Road Trip
5/26 & 5/27/2024  •  Day 11 & 12 •  Arleta, CA to Claremore, OK

   Rushing home - Day 12 - Gallup, NM to Claremore, OK   

Right after we finished our return trip from Utah, I received a text from my wife about a tree that fell and knocked in a door on our house, I checked the Claremore, OK weather only to find they were in the middle of a tornado.  The tornado did significant damage to our community and left us personnally without electricity for 10 days.  So I cut my road trip short and drove home in two very long days.  I stopped several times to take some photos or for a meal just so I could keep going.  16 hours on the first day; 13 hours on the second.
