Grand Lake

Little road trip after work (1/2 day) to the Grand Lake area.

Nestled in the hills south of Grand Lake along OK-82 (also OK-20).
Spavinaw Creek feeds into the Neosho River, which flows out of Grand Lake.
2nd stop - Pensacola Dam at Grand Lake

The dam is not very high, but is very wide, roughly a mile wide.
When the water levels coming out of the dam are low, the area below the dam in a playground for off-road vehicles.
3rd stop - Sail Boat Bridge on Grand Lake

Some call it "Sailboat" Bridge, but either way you spell it, it's a bridge with a very clean design, opened in 2001.
At almost 3/4 of a mile in length, it's a very smooth ride over the lake.
