   First stop - St. Francis Dam Site   

• This is the site of a dam failure in 1928 that became the 3rd largest disaster causing a loss of life in California history.

• It also was the end of the career of William Mulholland, the man who created the Los Angeles Aqueduct.

   Second stop - Lake Elizabeth   

This lake, set on the San Andreas Fault, west of Palmdale, CA hasn't had this much water in it as long as I can remember.

   Third stop - Tehachapi Loop   

A railroad "loop" in the Tehachapi Mountains.

   Fourth stop - lake Isabella   

This lake also has more water in it than I've ever seen.

One of the advantages of heavy snow fall during the winter, and Hurricane Hillary!
