• Natural arch on the east side of highway 117 south of I-40.
• El Malpais - literally "the badlands", a huge lava flow on the west.

The VLA, or Very Large Array, is a large group of 27 radio antennas, each at 82ft in diameter,
on US-60, about 50 miles west of Socorro, NM.

Third stop - Elephant Butte Dam
This dam, near Truth or Consequences, NM, isn't very wide, but it is over 300ft tall.
