Dad comes to OK
Day one - 4/29
Gloss Mountains
We drove for 3 hours to be at the Gloss Mountains in time for sunrise. I wanted to shoot pics and video from my drone, but it was extremely windy, so much so it was hard to stand still to take photos. I'm surprised I still have my hat. The rest of the day would be marked by the wind.

Salt Plains National Wildlife Reserve
Three stops at this location...

1st - Great Salt Plains Selenite Digging Area
• Only one pic at this location - The early morning sun glistening off of the wet surface of the plains •

2nd - Jet Recreation Nature Trail
• A short hike toward the lake •

3rd - Sandpiper Nature Trail
• Another short hike, this one from the north of the lake. Appropriately named, there were Sandpipers everywhere •

Pawhuska Tallgrass Prairie Preserve
Just a quick tour through the buffalo fields on our way home.
Two more stops.
Bluestem Falls
No running water at the "falls", but it was a nice hike along the creek bed just the same.

The Swinging Bridge
I had been warned that the bridge may be closed, and alas, it was. Found out later that there are some safety issues that need to be addressed but no idea when or if they will every be taken care of.
